Timothy W. Kehler Memorial Scholarship The Timothy W. Kehler Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 college fund award. High school seniors who plan to pursue a college degree in an aerospace related field may apply. Preference is given to Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) cadets. The scholarship honors 1st Lt Kehler, an Air Force Academy graduate, who was killed while flying an F-4 night training mission. Kehler was the son of USAF Col. (Ret.) William and Barbara Kehler. Col. Kehler served as Air Force JROTC instructor at Cabot High School and wing commander at Little Rock Air Force Base. The David D. Terry Jr. Chapter 253, Air Force Association provides the funding for this annual scholarship. Applications are solicited in January of each year, with a deadline of March 31. The award is normally presented in May of each year at a D.D. Terry chapter membership meeting.
